Security D & G Full Course and Annual Proficiency Re-certifications
D & G License
Working in the professional armed security field in the State of Florida, requires applicants to have a D & G license. The security D & G license are two separate licenses that allow a security guard to work in an armed capacity. To apply for the class “G” security license, the applicant must already have or be in the process of applying for the Florida class “D” security license. The class “D” security license is the unarmed security license, and the class “G” security license is the secondary license that allows the security officer to carry armed while on duty. It is illegal for a security guard or a bodyguard to work armed with a concealed carry license or a Law Enforcement HR 218 permit.
